The term soft skill refers to one of the many different aspects of the social behavior required to become successful at your job, be it a career in academia or industry. These attributes can include communications skills and coaching and leadership abilities, as well as personal qualities such as friendliness, empathy, and optimism. Many of these skills are hard to acquire by just reading a book. Instead, they can only be learned through practice. Most will agree that, within an organization, smooth internal communication and clear external communication are of vital importance. The Talk Room completely aims at equipping young minds with the skills of thinking clearly, speaking persuasively and listening to the opinions of others critically and constructively. Keeping in view the institution has come up with the idea to celebrate the thoughts and ideologies of the young minds. Competition may be one of the most contentious and misunderstood topics in education. Should our students compete? Doesn't competition create winners and losers? Our answer to this question is that it helps in:

1. Improving Teamwork and Collaboration

2. Enhancing Social and Emotional Learning.

3. Increasing Intrinsic Motivation.

4. Facilitating Growth Mindsets.

5. Enhancing Beneficial Peer Comparisons

Yes, many more to define. With these objectives in our mind, The Talk Room is organising an International Interschool Fest 2020-21. With more than 15 schools participating, the fest promises to be the first of its kind. During the pandemic times, it gives a platform to the students to vent out their accumulated creative energy and thoughts. The fest aims at interactions between international and domestic students. The three days of festivity shall act as a booster for the students and the industry to kickstart the year with optimism and faith that there is no stopping. The expertise of the best in the industry jury shall add value to the fest. Not only it shall be about competing with each other but it shall also involve learning, understanding and interpreting the main objectives behind such competitions that involve empathy, unison and adapting diverse cultures and thoughts. To focus on all the communication skills such as Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, competitions like Story writing, Blog writing, Speaking Challenge, Author in the making, Ad Creation and News Reading competitions have been specially designed for the three-day Mega Fest.
